Bagged Woodchips

Woodchip can be used for a lot of other things than just classic wallpaper! One such excellent use is using woodchip in external pathways.
If you yourself use woodchip for your pathways, a good tip is to lay a membrane between the soil below and the woodchip itself.
One such membrane that would be ideal is our Weedban, which is designed to hold back the growth of weeds whilst still allowing drainage.
Weedban features a SPUN-BONDED MEMBRANE that allows air, liquids and essential nutrients to get to the soil, and in turn promoting healthy and fertile soil below.
In addition, all fertilisers along with liquid and solid feed are suitable for use with the Weedban product.
A good tip is to make sure that you aim to lay a path of bark chippings approximately 10cm deep, so be sure to make the base deep enough when you are preparing the ground.
Here at Walford Timber we sell both bagged and loose woodchip, both of which look great when accompanied with timber path edging. More details on woodchip and how to order can be found here on our website.
