Feather Edge Garden Shed
Our 6’ x 4’ Feather Edge Garden Shed is a low-cost and…
We pride ourselves on manufacturing and sourcing well-constructed, robust, pressure treated garden sheds as part of our garden buildings range. Our Premium range sheds are constructed with excellent quality features like Tyvek Housewrap, designed to prevent water ingress.
Our Premier sheds are some of the most robust and heavy duty available on the market today.
There are many things that set our Premier sheds apart from others on the market. They are fully lined with Tyvek Housewrap to prevent moisture ingress. Tyvek is a durable, lightweight, breathable membrane that is wind-tight and water-resistant, so you can be certain that your shed has been manufactured to withstand the elements throughout the year.
What’s more, you can be sure that each of our buildings was designed with strength and durability in mind. The floors and roofs are constructed from pressure-treated T&G for superior strength and durability, while the side panels are constructed from heavy-duty pressure-treated shiplap and framing – meaning our Premier range should easily outlive its ten-year guarantee. Our Premier Sheds also feature extra-tough Polyester roof felt alongside a high-quality opening window assembly; and a rim lock and doorknob for enhanced security.
Manufactured at our main site in Walford, our garden sheds are made using only pressure-treated timber. Other than the budget Featheredge shed which is constructed from UK sourced timber, the rest of the sheds are constructed from high-grade Scandinavian and Siberian timber from sustainable sources.
Unlike most sheds on the market that are dipped, all of the sheds we manufacture are fully pressure treated to give years of service and peace of mind with little or no aftercare required to prevent rot. This is an industrial vacuum/pressure treatment process carried out in our own treatment plant and ensures the sheds last far longer than most other manufacturers products.
If you are looking for a low cost, value shed then our traditional Feather Edge garden shed is probably the best place to start. If you need more space, our Utility Apex garden shed is worth checking out. If you are looking for something more heavy-duty and substantial then we recommend you look at our Premier Buildings. Our Premier Apex and Premier Pent buildings come with a 10-year guarantee against all manufacturing defects as standard and you are more than welcome to visit our site and see for yourself the difference we offer in quality using only heavy-duty materials.
All our garden sheds are manufactured and supplied flat packed with everything you need for installation, including roof felt and nails, screws, corner strips, shed glass, silicone and fascia boards.
Hammer, drill (for fixing the sections together with the screws provided) and ideally a spirit level.
Prior to building your shed, you need to make sure that you have prepared an even and level base for your new garden shed to stand on so it will not twist and warp when installed. The best solutions are either a concrete base, paving slabs or decking in order to reduce the risk of moisture damage. The base preparation is extremely important as your building will not go together properly unless the base is perfectly level and could lead to long term issues with the building. We also recommend where possible you consider laying a weed proof membranes such as Weedban under your shed in order help to prevent weed growth and the risk of damage.
As well as Walford Timber’s own manufactured and pressure treated range, we source sheds from UK Garden Buildings. Delivery is usually 4 – 6weeks on these products.
This range has been dip treated and they are unpainted. This means that they will require further treatment to preserve their high-quality and to prevent rot.
The Supreme Apex Shed and the Supreme Pent Shed have some of the lowest-priced buildings in this product range. They are available in lots of sizes up to 4.8m x 2.4m.
We also supply potting sheds by UK Garden Buildings, including the Supreme Potting Shed which features window panels across the front of the structure. Alternatively, we have the Suntrap Potting Shed which, as the name suggests, includes many window panes along both sides of the building.
