Picnic Benches & Tables for the Garden

Our rectangular and round picnic tables come with integrated bench seating built in, giving you a complete picnic bench and table set in one piece rather than separate items to match up. The rectangular version seats up to six people and includes seats that fold up when not in use, keeping them dry and tidy between uses. The round version seats up to eight and is built from high grade redwood, pressure treated for long term outdoor use.

What Size Garden Bench Do I Need?

The right size depends on how many people you want to seat and how much space you have. As a guide, our patio dining set benches measure 37cm wide by 50cm high by 140cm long, comfortably seating two to three people each side of a table. Our round picnic table has a 1.1 metre diameter table top with an overall diameter of 1.81 metres once the attached seating is included, so allow enough clear space around it for people to sit down and get up comfortably.

If you’re placing a bench against a wall or in a defined corner, measure the space first and check the product dimensions listed on each item before ordering, since garden benches are supplied flat packed and are not designed to be trimmed to fit.

Caring for Your Wooden Garden Bench

All our garden furniture is made from pressure-treated timber, which protects it against rot and decay from the inside out rather than just on the surface. Left untreated after that initial process, timber will naturally weather over time, fading from its original colour to a silvery grey.
