Supporting Great Oaks Hospice Open Garden Event
When Great Oaks, a Coleford-based hospice that offers care and support to adults diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses, got in touch asking for support with an upcoming fundraiser, we were happy to help.
The hospice was taking part in the National Garden Scheme’s Open for Charity Event, raising money for themselves and the scheme by opening up their gardens for viewing as well as holding a cake and plant sale and a raffle.
They needed a bit of help putting the finishing touches to their space and so we donated some timber decking and a few lengths of 225 mm timber log edging which made all the difference to their outdoor space!
The open garden was a great success, raising £515 for the Hospice and almost an equal amount for the National Garden Scheme charities.
Ruth Keeble, C.E.O Great Oaks Hospice said: “On behalf of everyone here at ‘Great Oaks’ please accept our sincere thanks for your very kind donation.’
‘I am pleased to say the weather was kind to us and our garden looks beautiful which meant the event was a great success.’
