High pressure preservative treated timber is a high-performance material, allowing timber to be used in a wide range of in and out of ground contact applications – general building timbers, decking and garden timber, fencing timbers.
With a complete protection against decay and insect attack these timbers will have an extended service life.
However, when pressure preservative treated timber is crosscut, notched or drilled, to maintain this preservative protection, all exposed surfaces must be further protected with a brush-on end grain preservative. ENSELE TANANLISED end grain preservative is suitable for use with pressure preservative treated timber – Use Class 1, 2 and 3 applications and above ground exposed surfaces of Use Class 4 treated timbers.
Any pressure treated timber that has been rip sawn, thicknessed or planed must be returned for pressure treatment to ensure correct protection. ENSELE TANANALISED end grain preservative cannot be utilised in these circumstances.
